AFV, Freedom, KASL 1/48 - F20 Tigershark, Northrop

F-20 Tigershark, serial no. 82-0062 was the first prototype. It had F-5E cockpit n canopy but with a new aft fuselage, new wing, fin, stabilizers and New GE F404 Engine. Originally designated as F-5G. RSAF was invited to participate in the demo flight programme in the 1980s

To model an accurate model of the plane, some kit bash was necessary. Nose section from AFV Club F-5E, aft airframe from Freedom Model Kit F-20A, resin cockpit from KASL and decals from Miliverse Singapore.

For finishing, basic and advance technicques were employed however as the demo plane always carried an immaculate showroom finish, weathering techniques were employed sparingly to maintain the new look. Shadow n panel lines were highlighted extensively. Panel lines were rescribed where the nose mated with the fuselage from different kits.

Overall it came out well and would capture the spirit of the crew and the plane; which carried the old RSAF logo with the names of Maj. Eng and Cap. Lee painted on the sides.

Eastern Express 1/144 - Mil Mi-10 "Harke"

The Mil Mi-10 (NATO reporting name Harke), is a Soviet military transport helicopter of flying crane configuration, developed from the Mi-6, entering service in 1963.

Extensive scratch-building of the support struts using stretched sprue, as some of the struts were not provided by the kit.
Hydraulic hoses on the main rotor head and cargo platform added using stretched sprue and EZ-line.
Swash plate on the tail rotor added using laminated paper and stretched sprue.
Rivets added throughout the fuselage.
Hoses to the external fuel tanks added underneath.
Cabin windows drilled out and glazed using Deluxe Models Glue 'n' Glaze.
Kit decals used.

Model kit was mainly built out-of-box with the exception of the decal set used. "27 Red" belongs to 530th Fighter Aviation Regiment of Russian Federation Air Force at Chuguevka Airfield. MRP paints were mainly used and no post/ pre-shading technique is applied. Instead black base method is used to depict tonal variations in the Russian grey colour and also weathered using oil colurs to reveal staining effect especially at the rear exhaust areas as well as the belly areas. Exhaust areas are mainly painted with AK Xtreme metal paints.

This is the model of a Cessna 172H, serial numbered 100, the first basic trainer aircraft of Singapore Air Defence Command (SADC) in 1968. Painted on the tail of the aircraft is the red-white-red roundel insignia of SADC.
Tail was modified to be H model, custom printed SADC logo, and aftermarket decals number `100' was applied

- In conjunction with RSAF 50th Anniversary-
The model depicts the Bell 212 SAR flown by RSAF 120 Sqn in the early 80s in white and red livery.
The aircraft was entirely masked and sprayed with scratch built rescue winch on the starboard side and searchlight on the port side.
The radar nose was scratched built too with PU chemical wood and melted styrene
Underside blade antenna was added and antenna wires/mountings scratch built on the tail
This particular bird serial no `212' was used in the Sentosa cable car disaster rescue operations in 1983.
3× UH-1Ns (military version of the Bell 212 Twin Huey) delivered in 1977, all retired in 1985

An enactment of the Star Wars Death Star Trench Run Scene where Luke Skywalker piloted an X-Wing starfighter on a mission to destroy the Death Star via a weakness of a small exhaust port not protected by a particle shield through which a well-placed proton torpedo could reach the main reactor and destroy it. In this scene, Darth Vader was in hot pursuit with his Tie Advanced x1 firing its twin heavy L-s9.3 laser cannons at the X-Wing.
